Nepscape - Terms of Service
Effective: June 1, 2026
What Is Nepscape
Nepscape (nepscape.com) is a free platform for discovering Nepal's trails, booking guides, porters, and accommodations, and accessing offline maps. It is operated by Neutrotex Computer IT Solutions and Innovation Pvt Ltd, Anamnagar-29, Kathmandu, Nepal. By using Nepscape, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy at nepscape.com/legal/privacy.
It's Free
Nepscape is currently free to use. There are no subscription fees, no hidden charges, and no payment information is collected. If we introduce paid features in the future, we will give you at least 30 days' notice and update these Terms before any charges apply.
Your Account
You must be at least 16 to create an account. Users aged 16–17 need parental consent. Please keep your login secure since you are responsible for any activity on your account. If you think your account has been accessed without your permission, contact us at privacy.nepscape@gmail.com right away.
There are two account types: Traveler accounts for booking and exploring, and Service Provider accounts for guides, porters, and accommodation operators. Providers must complete our verification process and agree to keep their listings accurate.
What You Can Post
You can post reviews, photos, trail notes, and messages to service providers. You own what you post. By posting, you give Nepscape permission to use your content to run and improve the platform. For example, to improve trail maps or provider rankings. You can remove this permission by deleting your content or closing your account.
Please only post content that is honest, respectful, and relevant. Do not post false trail information, hate speech, or anything that could mislead or harm other users. We may remove content that breaks these rules and will let you know if we do (EU/EEA users can appeal removals).
Safety on the Trail
Trail data, maps, and difficulty ratings on Nepscape are for guidance only. Conditions in Nepal's mountains change fast; weather, trail closures, and hazards can appear without warning. Always:
- Check official advisories before heading out
- Carry physical maps and appropriate gear
- Tell someone your plans and expected return
- Hire an experienced guide for technical routes
Nepscape is not an emergency service. In an emergency in Nepal, call Nepal Police on 100 or Tourist Police on 1144. Do not rely solely on a digital app for decisions that affect your safety.
Our Content and Data
The Nepscape name, logo, app design, and curated trail data belong to Neutrotex Computer IT Solutions and Innovation Pvt Ltd. Map data includes contributions from OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL licence). Please do not copy or redistribute our content without written permission.
Things You Must Not Do
- Scrape, copy, or extract data from Nepscape using automated tools
- Post fake reviews or false provider credentials
- Try to access another user's account or break into our systems
- Use Nepscape to send spam or run commercial operations without our consent
Our Responsibility to You
We work hard to keep Nepscape accurate and reliable, but we cannot guarantee that trail data is always up to date, or that every listed guide or accommodation will meet your expectations — providers are independent businesses. We are the platform, not the service provider.
If something goes wrong because of our fault, we will do our best to make it right. However, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law. EU, UK, and California users retain all statutory consumer rights regardless of anything in these Terms.
Closing Your Account
You can delete your account at any time in account settings. We may suspend accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, and will give you notice where we reasonably can. EU and UK users: if we close your account without cause, we will tell you why in advance.
Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by Nepali law. If you have a problem, please email us first at privacy.nepscape@gmail.com, we want to resolve things informally. If we cannot, disputes go to the courts of Kathmandu, Nepal.
EU and EEA users may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. EU, UK, and California users retain the right to bring claims in courts in their own country of residence. Your mandatory consumer rights under local law are never waived by these Terms.
Changes to These Terms
If we make meaningful changes, we will notify you by email or in-app notice at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
