Who We Are

Nepscape is a platform for discovering trails, booking guides, porters, and accommodations in Nepal. It is operated by Neutrotex Computer IT Solutions and Innovation Pvt Ltd, Anamnagar-29, Kathmandu, Nepal. You can reach us anytime at privacy.nepscape@gmail.com.

What We Collect

When you use Nepscape, we may collect:

• Account info — your name, email address, and phone number when you register
• Booking details — travel dates, trail preferences, and requests when you make a booking
• Location data — your approximate location (via IP address or GPS) while using the app
• Reviews and photos — anything you choose to post on the platform
• Usage data — pages visited, session duration, and offline map downloads, collected automatically

We do not collect payment information because Nepscape is currently free. We do not collect health, biometric, caste, political, or religious data.

Why We Use It

We use your data only to run the platform: to show you trails and maps, connect you with guides and accommodations, send booking confirmations, respond to support requests, detect fraud, and improve the app. We do not use your data for advertising.

Where Your Data Is Stored

We store data on servers in four regions so your data stays close to you and complies with local law: Asia-Pacific (Nepal and Singapore), the United States, the United Kingdom, and the European Union. When data moves between regions — for example, to process a booking — it is protected by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent legal safeguards.

Who We Share It With

We only share your data when necessary:

• Service providers you book — your name and travel dates go to the guide or hotel you chose
• Map and analytics tools — anonymised, aggregated data only (never identifying)
• Authorities — only when required by a valid legal order

We never sell your data. We never share it for advertising or marketing purposes.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to receive a copy of your data in a portable format, object to how we process it, or restrict certain uses. EU and UK users can lodge a complaint with their national data protection authority. California users can submit a formal "Do Not Sell or Share" request, though we do not sell data regardless.

To exercise any right, email privacy.nepscape@gmail.com with the subject "Privacy Request." We will respond within 30 days (or within the timeframe required by your local law).

Cookies

We use cookies only for essential functions (keeping you logged in, saving map preferences) and basic anonymous analytics. We do not use advertising cookies. EU and UK users will be asked for consent before any non-essential cookies are set.

Data Security

We encrypt data in transit and at rest, limit access to personal data on a need-to-know basis, and conduct regular security reviews. If a breach occurs that puts your data at risk, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law — within 72 hours for EU/UK users.

Children

Nepscape is not for children under 16. Users aged 16–17 need parental consent. If we discover we hold data from a child under 16, we delete it immediately.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you by email or in-app notice at least 30 days before they take effect.
